Desktop apps
Requirements
You need a full Microsoft 365 license to use the desktop apps.
- If you're a student, you already have one.
- If you're an employee and you have a basic license, you can upgrade it using .
- If you're an affiliate or emeriti, the department you're working with can buy you a license upgrade.
Download and install desktop apps
- Open a web browser and go to .
- Select Install and more , near the upper-right corner of the page.
- Select Install Microsoft 365 apps.
If your web browser asks if you want to download the file, confirm that you do. Your browser will download an installer package. - Run the installer package and follow the prompts to confirm you want to install it.
Mobile apps
Get the Microsoft 365 Copilot mobile app
- Open a web browser on your laptop or desktop computer and go to .
- Select Install and more , near the upper-right corner of the page.
- Select Install the Microsoft 365 Copilot mobile app.
- Scan the QR code on the page that opens.
Either the App Store or the Google Play store will open to the Microsoft 365 app. - Tap Get or Install to download and install the app.
