Self-serve software installation
If you’re using a UVic computer, you can install and update popular software using Company Portal or Software Center (Windows) or Self Service (Mac). The apps that are listed have been tested and approved.
Some apps that are available include Adobe Reader, Zoom, Echo360 Universal Capture, Cyberduck, and NVDA screen reader. The software available to you may depend on your role and department. If you can't find what you're looking for, contact IT support to see if they can add it or install it for you.
Windows computers can have either Company Portal or Software Center installed. Macs have Self Service.
Installing an app doesn't necessarily mean you can use it right away. Some software, like Adobe apps, needs to be activated or licensed separately.
