Adobe Acrobat & Creative Cloud
UVic has a campus site license for Adobe Acrobat Pro and Creative Cloud (CC). Our license allows students to use Adobe software in select computer labs and employees to install Adobe software on their work computers.
You need to sign up for a UVic Adobe ID at before you can use Adobe software.

Adobe cloud storage hasn't been approved for general use at UVic. Cloud storage and the applications that rely on it aren't available by default. These include:
- Adobe Express
- Adobe Portfolio
- Frame.io
- Lightroom and Lightroom Web
- most apps for iPhone, iPad and Android
- most web apps except Firefly and Fonts
If you want to use cloud storage, contact IT support. We can activate it as needed or advise you if you need a privacy impact assessment (PIA).
Restrictions & limitations
Students can only use Adobe CC in select computer labs on campus, not on their own devices. You'll still need to create your Adobe ID at .
Employees are only permitted to use Adobe CC on UVic computers. Exceptions can be granted as needed, on a case-by-case basis. Contact us if you need an exception.
Get Adobe software
Students and employees can sign up for an Adobe ID.

- Under Your services, select Adobe, then Sign up.
- Follow the prompts to create your Adobe ID.
Employees using UVic computers can install Adobe Acrobat Pro or Creative Cloud using Software Center, Company Portal or Jamf Self-service.
