POSTER What is Global Health Research? and What is Canada's contribution to this field?

Abstract:

This informal seminar will include a brief introduction to the emerging field of global health research, and Canada's involvement in this evolving story.

This will include the work of the Canadian Coalition for Global Health Research, a non-governmental organization that "promotes better and more equitable health worldwide, through the production and use of knowledge" (see: www.ccghr.ca ).

The AV天堂 is one of 20 Canadian universities that are institutional members of the Coalition. Following the introductory presentation, there will be an open discussion about the work and interests in this field by members of the UVic community, and an exploration of how these activities can be more effectively harmonized.
